Transformative School Leadership

States can use Title II, Part A funds to improve school leadership by allocating a significant portion of its state activities funds to school leader work. States should also consider their flexibility to reserve an additional three percent of Title II, Part A district subgrants for state activities to improve school leadership. Finally, Title II Part A funds may be used to support other roles focused improving school leadership, such as coaches, principal supervisors, as well as specific activities to support the professional learning of principals.
